About me
A qualified occupational health (OH) advisor with 20 years nursing & OH experience. With a background in construction, oil & gas, whisky, local councils & police settings including as an offshore medic. I have a BSc(Hons) in OH practice and im registered as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse within the NMC.

What we can provide
Health Surveillance
Health surveillance is a system of ongoing health checks. These health checks may be required by law for employees who are exposed to noise or vibration, solvents, fumes, dusts, biological agents and other substances hazardous to health, or work in compressed air.
Case or Absence Management
A referral for case management would aim to explore any health concerns that impact on an employees ability to undertake their role. The employer will be provided with a report following a consultation which will explore legal expectations as well as offering impartial advice. Face to face and telephone consultations are available.
Safety Critical Medicals
Poor health within the workplace may cause individuals to be unsafe for safety critical tasks. Ensure your employees are medically safe, for example; working at height, confined space entry & fork lift truck driving.

What we can provide
Employee health checks
Offering your employees a confidential one to one assessment with, depending on preference, tests including blood pressure, BMI/waist measurements, cholesterol, diabetes, hearing and lung function testing. Explanations will be given for all the readings with normal 'numbers' discussed.
Substance abuse screening
We can offer instant substance misuse screening either with cause or random testing. Identify, deter and rule out drug and alcohol misuse
Hand Arm Vibration Screening
As part of the health surveillance, we can offer Hand Arm Vibration screening up to level 3, complying with the HSE regulations.
